Amali Properties breaks ground on ultra-luxe island project

With piling works set to begin in March 2025, the project is expected to reach completion by Q1 2027

Amali Properties has officially commenced construction on Amali Island, an exclusive ultra-luxury development within Dubai’s The World Islands, namely Uruguay and São Paulo.

The ambitious project, comprised of just 24 villas, has already reached a significant milestone with an impressive 90 per cent of its residences sold, including three premium units collectively worth Dhs400m.

Among them is the Villa Avatea, which recently sold for a record-breaking Dhs200m.

The groundbreaking ceremony featured key Amali Properties officials, alongside representatives from marine works contractor DUTCO Construction and dredging contractor Van Oord.

The project has already garnered immense interest from high-net-worth investors, including Villa Avatea, a remarkable seven-bedroom property covering nearly 60,000 square feet with multiple floors, a basement of premium amenities, and extensive entertainment options.

Villa Avatea caters to relaxation and recreation with saunas, spa pools, family lounges, home theatres, and ample outdoor space designed for sports and leisure.

The Dhs2bn Amali Island project aims to redefine luxury island living by combining premier privacy, bespoke amenities, and expansive views of Dubai’s skyline, including the iconic Palm Jumeirah and Burj Khalifa.

With piling works set to begin in March 2025, the project is expected to reach completion by Q1 2027.

Villa Avatea leads in opulence, but other residences also promise grandeur. Two Villa Aria units, sold at Dhs100m each, feature approximately 45,000 square feet of space, unique design styles, and a choice of Ultra or Terra interiors — one blending contemporary luxury with opulent strokes and the other incorporating earthy, elegant finishes.

Making access a priority

Strategically located, Amali Island is an eight-minute journey from Dubai’s mainland. Residents will enjoy convenient access via private boats and a floating helipad, ensuring ease of movement between the island and the city.

Amenities include a 9,000-square-foot Residents’ Clubhouse, exclusive docking facilities, and mainland parking. Each villa will offer up to 50 metres of private beachfront and 360-degree panoramic views.
