It is to protect the community at large and help halt the spread of the Covid-19 infection that has impacted 333 lives in the country, that this decision was taken.
It follows an earlier directive by the Dubai government that ordered all spas and massage parlours to close from March 15 till the end of the month.
Dubai also shut down theme parks, cinemas, gyms, spas and cancelled all events.
In addition, the UAE government suspended all schools, universities and nurseries across the country for four weeks starting from March 8.
It also suspended all inbound and outbound passenger flights and the transit of airline passengers for two weeks beginning from March 26.
The country has urged its residents to stay at home unless it’s absolutely necessary to get essential supplies, such as food and medicine, or to perform “essential jobs” in order to reduce the risk of transmission of the disease.
