Home Brand View All-new OPPO Reno4 Series, including 5G device, to be launched in the UAE on September 22 The Reno4 Pro 5G will be the highlight of the virtual launch event to be held this week by Gulf Business September 21, 2020 There have been months of speculation of what 5G can look like when integrated more fully here in the country. That seems ever closer to reality with local telecom operators such as Etisalat recently offering home subscribers access to 5G fixed networks. UAE’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has also recently allocated new 5G frequencies to Etisalat and du users. A network built on 5G could deliver speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second. The only hitch? You need devices that can keep up to those zero-latency, high-speed pipelines. Enter the upcoming Reno4 Pro 5G phone which will be launched in the UAE on September 22. The Reno4 Pro 5G comes a few months after the OPPO launched its Find X2 Pro 5G device in the UAE, with the new smartphone building on some of the Find X2 Pro’s strengths. The OPPO Reno4 Pro 5G has more than just a 5G tag riding in its favour. In an attempt to make this phone appeal to a younger segment of customers, it also includes features that amp up its strength on the video and photography front, especially in low-light night conditions. The virtual launch event will be themed around ‘Own the Night’ campaign and will play on factors such as the Ultra Night Video mode which uses a Sony IMX708 ultra-wide-angle camera that can deliver content in 16:9 aspect ratio backed by in-house developed algorithms to make colours more vibrant, and increase clarity and brightness especially in poor light conditions. A triple linear arranged camera at the rear of the Reno4 Pro 5G offers Ultra Steady Video 3.0. Interestingly, the front camera too has a stabilisation mode which is especially useful when using the phone to video chat while on the go. The OPPO Reno4 Pro 5G features a 6.5-inch 3D curved display with a 90Hz refresh rate The rear camera lines up to deliver Cinematic Mode and Hyperlapse to ensure plenty of video options to choose and edit on OPPO’s Soloop app which comes built into the phone. Also, a new feature with the upcoming device is the all-new AI Color Portrait Mode that mutes the background into black-and-white while keeping the subject in colour. All of the images are displayed off a 6.5-inch 3D curved display with a 90Hz refresh rate. While the 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 flash charging technology is something that we saw with the Find X2 Pro 5G, the Reno4 Pro 5G additionally has a Super Power Saving Mode that applies stringent power saving mode to your device. With just 5 per cent of the battery left on it, you can take either 100 short videos, 100 selfies, text for 90 mins or make phone calls for over an hour. All of this 5G, video and imaging technology comes packed in a device that weighs just 172g and is 7.6mm thin. With the Covid-19 restrictions in place, OPPO has decided to opt for a virtual event to launch the new Reno4 Series.
