The new scheme will apply to a wide range of professionals including medical and non-medical staff working in the health sector such as doctors, nurses, pharmacists, cleaning and services personnel, as well as protection and prevention workers, security and emergency workers, and sanitisation staff too, reported news agency WAM. Aldar will offer these professionals Dhs4,000 worth of Yas Mall vouchers, as well as points on Aldar’s new Darna loyalty programme, with the points being redeemable across its portfolio. In addition, Aldar has committed to offering them purchase and rent offers, including a 6 per cent refund on purchase price once the final payment is settled, and a four-year waiver of service charges too. As part of the three-year MoU, Aldar will also promote the FHO’s awareness initiatives across its portfolio, including Yas Mall, World Trade Centre Abu Dhabi and Al Jimi Mall, several hotels and schools across the emirate. “Aldar is proud to be amongst the first companies to support the Frontline Heroes Office in responding to the challenges of frontline professionals, and ensuring they are nationally recognised and appreciated. In July, UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan issued a federal decree to establish the FHO, chaired by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, which will acknowledge the work of frontline staff, while carrying out their duties in the country. The scholarship which will last until their graduation from high school, covers the cost of tuition, laptops and transportation.
