Home GCC UAE Al Habtoor Group to offer kosher food at all its properties in the UAE Habtoor Hospitality has partnered with Elli’s Kosher Kitchen which was founded by Ellie Kriel in 2019 by Varun Godinho September 3, 2020 Dubai-based Al Habtoor Group has said that it will introduce kosher food and beverages across all its properties in the UAE. To prepare these meals, Habtoor Hospitality has partnered with Elli’s Kosher Kitchen (EKK) which was founded by Ellie Kriel in 2019 in the UAE. Kriel’s husband, Ross, is the founder and president of the Jewish Community of the Emirates. All the meals will be packaged and sealed with an OU Kosher Certification (Orthodox United) stamp. It will be made available at several of Habtoor’s hotels including Hilton Dubai, V Hotel, Habtoor Palace Dubai, LXR Hotel and Resorts, Habtoor Grand Resort, Autograph Collection LLC, Metropolitan Hotel and Habtoor Polo Resort. Al Habtoor City, Hotel Collection will also make available kosher catering to single business travellers, corporate events, MICE functions and even family weddings. Kosher food is similar to the concept of halal food in that it follows religious rules in the production, serving and consumption of food and food products. The Habtoor group has reportedly become the first hotel group to offer kosher offerings within the UAE. It comes the same week that a high-level delegation from Israel and America visited the UAE as part of an ongoing process to establish regular relations between the two countries.
