Consumers in the Middle East are quickly moving away from mass-market perfumes and more upscale, locally produced products. According to reports, the Middle East’s perfumes industry is expected to expand by 52 per cent from $2.9bn in 2019 to $4.4bn by 2027. Ajmal Perfumes is working with the channel partner Accely to digitally transform its operations to support innovation in the perfume market. The company will run on the SAP S/4HANA real-time business suite on the RISE with SAP platform and enhance employee experiences with the SAP SuccessFactors human experience management suite. “As the Middle East’s fragrances market continues to grow, Ajmal Perfumes needed full visibility on our operations to enhance our standing as a globally recognised brand,” said Abdulla Ajmal, deputy chief operating officer, Ajmal Perfumes. Ajmal Perfumes is also exploring SAP’s innovative solutions to integrate digital marketing, customer experiences, and loyalty programmes in its digital transformation roadmap. “Ajmal Perfumes, by joining together its marketing, retail, and e-commerce operations in real-time, shows how digital transformation can enable an intelligent enterprise,” said Zakaria Haltout, managing director SAP UAE. Recently, Google Cloud and SAP announced an extended strategic collaboration to help customers in executing business transformations, migrating essential business systems to the cloud, and augmenting existing business systems with Google Cloud AI and machine learning capabilities (ML). Under this partnership, Google Cloud will be a strategic cloud partner for the Rise with SAP offering. The two companies will partner to accelerate customers’ cloud migrations and business process migrations. In addition, customers can benefit from the availability of multiple SAP services and products on Google Cloud’s network, including the SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Data Warehouse Cloud solutions within SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
