Air India’s low-cost carrier, Air India Express, has unveiled a new logo and aircraft livery in shades of orange and turquoise.
According to a statement from the airline, the colours represent “enthusiasm, premium sensibility and a digital-first approach”.
“Charged with providing the best value, accessibility, and enhanced connectivity in the domestic and short-haul international network, Air India Express is set to become the airline of a new generation,” the airline’s chairman Campbell Wilson, said on social media platform, X (formerly Twitter).
Air India Express to add more routes, more aircraft
Wilson also said the Air India Group will induct an aircraft every six days between now and 2024-end.
The airline’s management said it will add more domestic routes, in addition to routes to the Gulf, South-East Asia and South Asia under a common brand when budget airline’s merger with AirAsia India is successfully concluded.
The airline – which has a fleet of 56 aircraft, will add new 50 aircraft in the next 15 months, expanding to 170 aircraft in the next five years.
