Air Arabia Abu Dhabi to launch direct flights to these Iraqi cities

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi will launch two new routes to Baghdad and Erbil in Iraq later this year.

The direct flights will connect Abu Dhabi International Airport to both Baghdad International Airport and Erbil International Airport, with a frequency of two flights per week, starting from June 22, 2023.

Every Monday and Thursday, flight 3L 076 will depart Abu Dhabi at 10.35am and land in Baghdad at 12pm, local time. The return flight 3L 077 will take off from Baghdad at 12.40pm and land at the UAE capital at 4pm, on the same days.

Flight 3L 088 will take off from Abu Dhabi at 11.25pm and land at Erbil at 1.20am on Tuesday and Fridays. The return 3L 089 flight will take off from Erbil at 2am and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 5.40am on Wednesday and Saturdays.

“We are pleased to launch Air Arabia Abu Dhabi’s first flights to Baghdad and Erbil in Iraq to further expand our growing route network from UAE’s capital,” said Adel Al Ali, group chief executive officer, Air Arabia.

“This new route underpins our commitment towards both leisure and business travellers while providing them with more travel experiences and value-added offerings across its network.”

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, which started its operations in July 2020, currently serves a total of 31 destinations directly from Abu Dhabi International Airport. The airline operates a total fleet of 68 Airbus A320 and A321 neo-LR aircraft.

Customers can now book their flights by visiting the carrier’s website, or via its call centre and travel agencies.

The airline also announced the launch of its direct route to Kolkata in India earlier this month, as well a new route to Amman, Jordan last month.
