Home Industry ADNOC, FAB execs named ME’s top brand guardian CEOs Brand Finance named Middle East CEOs Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Hana Al Rostamani and Olayan Mohammed Al Wetaid in its Brand Guardianship Index by Gulf Business April 18, 2022 Global brand valuation consultancy Brand Finance has named ADNOC’s Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber as the Middle East’s top brand guardian CEO in its Brand Guardianship Index. Al Jaber is the highest-ranked CEO outside of the US and China, and ranked higher than any CEO in Europe and Africa. Ranked 15th globally in the ranking, he is also the top-scoring leader in the oil and gas sector. Hana Al Rostamani, the CEO of FAB (First Abu Dhabi) was named the highest-ranked female brand guardian CEO in the Middle East this year, and 15th ranked brand guardian CEO overall in the Middle East. Since her appointment as CEO, Al Rostamani has served as an excellent custodian of the FAB brand, which is currently expanding internationally throughout the Middle East with the acquisition of assets such as the Egyptian division of Bank Audi, a Lebanese bank. In Saudi Arabia, stc’s Olayan Mohammed Al Wetaid was the highest-ranked brand guardian CEO. Al Wetaid replaced Nasser Sulaiman Al Nasser as the CEO. Building upon Al Nasser’s legacy, Al Wetaid is now driving stc’s growth by deploying 5G services for the Middle East and diversifying the Saudi economy in line with the Saudi government’s broader objectives. Ranking the world’s top CEOs, the Brand Guardianship Index evaluates the performance of chief executives according to how well they manage and grow their companies’ brands. The listing is informed by the results of an original survey of over 1,000 market analysts and journalists. More and more, the CEOs ranked in the Brand Guardianship Index must work in partnership to build a sustainable future, redefining the role of a CEO from ultra competitive entrepreneur to collaborative diplomat.” The three CEOs were also included in Gulf Business’ annual ranking tracking the trajectory of the world’s most illustrious and influential Arab personalities.
