Accor Announces Three Jeddah Properties

Today’s trio takes the French Group’s Middle East portfolio to 100 hotels

Accor HotelServices Middle East announced three Jeddah projects today, swelling its Middle East portfolio to 100 hotels.

The 275-room Novotel, 250-room Ibis and 150-unit Adagio – due to open early 2018 – will form part of a wider project combining hospitality, retail and office components and be located close to the Corniche. The management agreements were signed with Alesayi Group.

Sheikh Mohammed Omar Alesayi, Alesayi Group President & CEO, said it chose Accor for its  experience in managing multi-branded projects and fits in with its desire to create “a new benchmark” for economy and midscale hotels in Jeddah.

Accor currently operates six multi-brand complexes with over 3,400 rooms, including ibis & Novotel Dubai World Trade Center, and the recently opened Novotel & Adagio Abu Dhabi Al Bustan (pictured, read the review on Page 18 of the September issue of Business Traveller Middle East). Others are coming up in Doha and Riyadh.

Accor HotelServices Middle East currently operates 66 hotels with more than 16,000 rooms and today’s announcement increases the number under development to 34.
