Home GCC Oman Access to Oman airport premises restricted to vaccinated personnel; travellers remain unaffected The directive will be effective starting Wednesday, September 1 by Gulf Business August 31, 2021 On Monday, August 30, Oman Airports confirmed that starting Wednesday, September 1, access to airport facilities across the country will be restricted to vaccinated personnel. Proof of their vaccination will be inspected at the entrances to the facilities, where they will need to furnish their Tarassud+ app. It clarified that the mandatory vaccination rule only applies to staff, and that unvaccinated travellers could still access these airports. They are allowed to proceed to their destinations, provided that the destination accepts their current inoculation status. Oman Airports would like to emphasize that: “Vaccination” is mandatory to access the Airports premises but does not apply to travelers. The private sector establishments include commercial complexes, restaurants and other business outlets, as well as venues hosting cultural, sports and group activities.
