Abu Dhabi's TAQA Group unveils new brand identity

Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) has announced a comprehensive rebranding initiative aimed at reinforcing its strategic growth objectives and expanding its global footprint.

TAQA’s rebranding, revealed today, marks a pivotal moment in the company’s ongoing transformation and aligns with its strategy to deliver integrated power and water services both within the UAE and internationally.

As part of the rebranding effort, the group will consolidate its Abu Dhabi-based distribution operations under a unified brand, TAQA Distribution.

This new entity will combine the Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC) and Al Ain Distribution Company (AADC), streamlining customer service operations across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The integration aims to scale the group’s customer-facing business, enabling the company to expand its services, introduce new products, and explore growth opportunities both locally and abroad.

Additionally, the group is rebranding its wholly-owned operating companies to better reflect its comprehensive utility services:

Abu Dhabi Transmission and Despatch Company (TRANSCO) will now be known as TAQA Transmission, focusing on the operation and development of power and water transmission infrastructure.

Sustainable Water Solutions Holdings (SWS Holdings) will be rebranded as TAQA Water Solutions, overseeing wastewater treatment facilities and recycled water production in Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi Energy Services (ADES) will become TAQA Energy Services, providing tailored energy management solutions and optimising demand.

Rebranding to enhance awareness of TAQA’s role in region and beyond

Jasim Husain Thabet, TAQA’s Group CEO and MD, highlighted the strategic importance of the rebranding: “In the past four years, we have driven significant improvements in the performance of our operating companies and expanded our business. The rebranding of our operating companies will enhance awareness and understanding of the group’s extensive role in Abu Dhabi and across EMEA, further establishing us as a national champion for the UAE.”

The rebranding initiative is set to boost the group’s visibility and support the next phase of its growth strategy.

By consolidating its various brands into a more cohesive identity, the group aims to strengthen its market position and highlight its role as a leader in integrated utilities and sustainable energy solutions.
