Home Transport Aviation Abu Dhabi’s Etihad pens codeshare with Tanzania’s Precision Air Under the deal, Etihad will place its EY code on Precision Air flights by Staff Writer December 21, 2016 Abu Dhabi carrier Etihad Airways has announced a new codeshare agreement with Tanzania’s Precision Air. Under the deal, Etihad will place its EY code on Precision Air flights between Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro, Mwanza, Mtwara, Nairobi, Zanzibar, Pemba, and between Nairobi and Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar. Meanwhile, Precision Air will place its PW code on Etihad’s daily services between Dar es Salaam and Abu Dhabi. “Precision Air is an innovative and award-winning airline and this new codeshare agreement demonstrates Etihad Airways’ growing ambitions to strengthen its operations across the East African region,” said Kevin Knight, Etihad Airways’ chief strategy and planning officer. Passengers will be able to book flights via travel agents from December 21, or through airlines sales offices and contact centres from January 11. Etihad currently flies to 10 African destinations including Johannesburg, Nairobi, Entebbe, Dar es Salaam, Khartoum, Casablanca, Rabat, Lagos, Cairo and Mahé in the Seychelles. Earlier this week it also announced a codeshare deal with Germany’s Lufthansa for select European routes.
