With the resumption of activities, existing precautionary procedures will be ramped up to preserve all health gains achieved. To this end, the Abu Dhabi Emergency Crisis and Disasters Committee for Covid-19 Pandemic has started liaising with relevant authorities. The committee reaffirmed its commitment to continue the efforts to stem the spread of the virus, including active tracing and testing programmes. The vaccine had received the go-ahead for emergency use back in September. An interim analysis by Sinopharm CNBG of Phase III trials suggested that the vaccine held an 86 per cent efficacy rate against the Covid-19 infection.
