Abu Dhabi road closure: Al Maryah Street bridge to be shut in January

As everyone returns to work after the seasonal holidays, those living and working in Abu Dhabi should know of the month-long major street closure announced in the city.

Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) notified residents and travellers of a key road closure in the emirate starting Monday, January 8.

Road closure to extend for a month

The ITC said that the Al Maryah Street bridge, will be sealed off to traffic, from January 8 until February 3.

As per the notification, the closure will extend from Al Maryah Street bridge starting from Zayed the First Street to the island.

Al Maryah Island houses the city’s financial hub, the Abu Dhabi Global Market, as well as The Galleria mall, and Cleveland Clinic.
