Abu Dhabi has revised the operating capacity of indoor and outdoor events as well as weddings to be held across the emirate.

The operating capacity of indoor events has been increased to 80 per cent, while entry to such events requires attendees to show a green pass and a negative PCR test result received within 96 hours.

Attendees at indoor events must also undertake an EDE scan via a hand-held at public entry points and wear a mask, the Abu Dhabi Government Media Office has said.

The maximum operating capacity of wedding halls has been capped at 60 per cent. Meanwhile, the number of guests should not exceed 100 for indoor halls, 300 for open-air wedding venues, and 60 for weddings hosted at home.

The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee took to Twitter to share that the updated rulings were to enhance precautionary measures and protect public health.

Abu Dhabi also revised its entry requirements for business, entertainment and sports events and exhibitions last month.

Meanwhile, the emirate updated its ‘green list’ of destinations to 95 in total earlier this month. Effective Sunday, November 7, a total of 14 countries were added to the list including: Algeria, Iran, Lebanon, Malaysia, Turkey, Philippines, Syria and Yemen.
