Home Covid-19 Abu Dhabi reiterates home quarantine guidelines All those who are registered for home quarantine can conduct a free walk-in PCR test by Aarti Nagraj May 30, 2021 Abu Dhabi has reconfirmed the guidelines in place for those placed in home quarantine after contacting a Covid-19 positive case in the emirate. Vaccinated individuals are required to spend five days in quarantine, Abu Dhabi’s Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee said in a statement. They must take a PCR test on day four and can remove the wristband on day five if they receive a negative test result. Those who are not vaccinated are required to quarantine for 10 days. They must take a PCR test on day eight and can remove the wristband on day 10 if they receive a negative test result. All those who are registered for home quarantine can conduct a free walk-in PCR test and remove the wristband at Mina Zayed Center, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain Convention Centre and Al Dhafra Hospital. The committee also urged those who suspect that they have contacted an infected individual to self-isolate. Earlier this month, Abu Dhabi revised the rules regarding mandatory Covid-19 testing and home quarantine requirements for vaccinated arrivals who are either UAE citizens or residents of the emirate. Vaccinated residents and citizens arriving from countries which are not on the green list must take a PCR test on arrival and quarantine for five days. They must take another PCR test on day four of their arrival to the UAE. The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi said that it can now be availed without having to book prior appointments at more than 100 vaccination centres across the emirate.
