Flash alerts are operated using solar energy, as well as internal batteries, and are easily visible from a distance of 200m during day and night. In other news, Abu Dhabi Police has introduced a new minimum speed limit of 120km/h on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Road starting April 1 and from May 1 violators face a Dhs400 fine. Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaytoun Al Muhairi, director of the Central Operations Sector, said that the maximum speed will be 140 km/h and the minimum speed will be 120 km/h on the first and second lanes from the left. Officials from the police confirmed that the third lane with a speed of 140km/h and the last lane for use by heavy vehicles will not include minimum speed violations.
