Changes to service timings cover Customer Happiness Centres, paid parking zones, public buses, metro, tram, marine transport, and service provider centres (technical testing of vehicles). Dubai Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority announced that public parking will be free on Friday, July 21 on occasion of the Islamic New Year. However, this does not apply to multi-storey car parks. Dubai Metro Dubai Metro service will run on both the red and green lines from 05:00 am to 01:00 am (of the following day). Dubai Tram will operate from 06:00 am to 01:00 am (of the following day). Buses Public bus service within Dubai on Friday, July 21st, will run from 05:00 am to 12:30 am (of the following day). All metro link bus services will be synchronised with the metro timetables. Abu Dhabi Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) has announced amended timings for its services for the upcoming Islamic New Year Holiday. Motorists will not have to pay public parking fees and toll charges on July 21, which has been declared as the official holiday for public and private sector workers in the UAE. Free Darb toll gates Those traveling in and from Abu Dhabi will not be levied a toll charge during the holiday on Friday, July 21. Toll gate fees will apply on Saturday, July 22 during peak hours slots of – 7am to 9am and 5pm to 7pm Public bus services The ITC said public bus services in the emirate will operate on amended official holiday schedules. Customer Happiness Centres The ITC’s Customer Happiness Centres will be closed during the holiday on Friday, July 21 as well as over the weekend. Customer Happiness Centres will resume working on Monday, July 24. In cases of an emergency, customers are advised to contact the unified Service Support Centre of the Department of Municipalities and Transport on 800850 or Taxi Call Centre: 600535353 to request services 24/7.
