Abu Dhabi developer Manazel to build four new schools

Manazel plans to build two schools in its Al Reef Villas development

Abu Dhabi-based property developer Manazel Real Estate has announced plans to build four schools within its three of its residential projects in the UAE capital.

Two schools are set to come up in its Al Reef Villas development, which is located near Al Raha beach and comprises 2,376 villas and townhouses as well as over 1,818 apartments. The development is designed to accommodate over 16,000 residents and visitors.

The first school within the development – spanning over 23,060 sqm – will cater to kindergarten and primary level children and will be able to accommodate over 2,000 students.

Spread across over 16,604 sqm, the second school will cater to intermediate and secondary level children and will have the capacity for over 1,000 students.

The overall education facility will consist of modern villa style units grouped into four architectural themes including arabian, desert, mediterranean and contemporary.

Manazel’s third school will be built in Al Reef 2 in Al Samha, Abu Dhabi – which features 860 villas.

Spread over 18,218 sqm, the school will cater to kindergarten children and accommodate around 1,000 students.

The fourth school will be located within Manazel’s Ghantoot Hotel and Resort in Abu Dhabi and will also cater to early level and kindergarten children.

Covering an area of 25,779 sqm, the facility will have the capacity for approximately 1,200 students.

Manazel’s chairman Mohamed M. Al Qubaisi said: “Our school building programme will support the on-going growth of our communities and provide much needed educational facilities for all of the families that live in our developments.

“We remain focused on delivering steady and sustained growth in tandem with our expansion strategy, which is aimed at diversifying our real estate business into new and growth sectors such as education and healthcare. This in turn will deliver significant revenue growth and shareholder returns over the longer term.”

Looking ahead, Manazel is seeking to attract experienced international educational institutions to its planned new facilities.
