That code will then have to be entered on the portal, after which they will be directed to a page to enter all their personal information. Once submitted, the applicant will receive an SMS with details regarding whether their request was approved or rejected. The authorities have said those securing the permits must adhere to the requested times or risk being fined. How to apply for Movement Permit during National Sterlization Program pic.twitter.com/PIB5a6tigJ — شرطة أبوظبي (@ADPoliceHQ) May 10, 2020 In a series of tweets in the early hours of May 11, the Abu Dhabi Media Office said: “Those going out during sterilisation timings due to an urgent matter such as hospital, pharmacy, or to buy basic needs who do not have permission, must present proof of reason for being out.” Also, it said that the emirate’s police have requested entities whose staff work during sterilisation hours to provide the Abu Dhabi Emergency Crisis and Disasters committee with names of staff and plate numbers of their cars. It added that vehicles of those working in vital sectors will automatically be exempted from violation systems. The authorities have also set up a redressal forum where fines issued can be challenged. The media office added: “Those wanting to submit a complaint to the Public Prosecution against disciplinary procedures taken due to the measures to curb the spread of coronavirus, are kindly requested to do it through the website: http://pp.gov.ae, within 15 days of the date of the violation.” It may be recalled that in the beginning of April, Dubai introduced a similar online movement permit system for all residents who wished to exit their homes during the hours that the national sterilisation is in effect.
