Home Brand View A new 48-storey hotel has opened with sweeping views of Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah The property includes 264-rooms and suites, and is easily accessible to major business and transport hubs within the emirate by Gulf Business January 11, 2021 Avani Hotels & Resorts, part of the Minor Hotels hospitality group, opened a 48-storey Avani Palm View Dubai Hotel & Suites property earlier this month. Located in Dubai Media City, it boasts – as its name suggests – commanding views of Dubai’s iconic Palm Jumeirah. The 264-rooms and suites at the property boasts features floor-to-ceiling windows, fully-equipped kitchens, interactive living spaces and private terraces. The units range from 41-square-metre studios up to 165-square-metre three bedroom units, with eleven different room types. Designed by AECOM and developed by UAE conglomerate ALFAHIM, this is the third Avani in Dubai, following the previous openings of Avani Ibn Battuta Dubai Hotel and Avani Deira Dubai Hotel. The units range from 41-square-metre studios up to 165-square-metre three bedroom units One of the major draws with Avani Palm View property is its accessibility and connectivity. It is located just off the arterial Sheikh Zayed Road, with public transport including the Dubai tram and The Palm Monorail stations situated at the entrance of the hotel. The DXB airport is a 25-minute drive away, with the city’s second airport, Al Maktoum International, and the upcoming Dubai Expo 2020 site also a 30-minute drive away. Being positioned as a property that encourages both short- and long-stays, the hotel’s amenities include in-house services, complimentary WiFi and free valet parking. On site, there are two restaurants and a bar. Seven Seeds offers cuisine from all over the world and various breakfast options. The on-the-go café The Pantry includes small bites such as salads, wraps and sandwiches. Aqua meanwhile is the outdoor pool bar, from where diners can also order food which will be served from Seven Seeds. The hotel includes a stunning dual-level rooftop infinity pool and AvaniFit gym too which features top-of-the-range fitness equipment to ensure that the guests can meet all their fitness requirements while staying at the hotel. Keeping in mind the Covid-19 precautions that have had to be instituted as a result of the pandemic, an AvaniShield programme is designed to ensure that the hotel meets all the necessary health and safety protocols. The property includes a stunning dual-level rooftop infinity pool and AvaniFit gym too According to its website, as part of the AvaniShield programme, the AvaniFit gyms, for example, will strictly follow physical distancing rules, ensuring that only a limited number of guests are exercising at a given time, will provide a breathing period after each use, and implements sanitising measures such as anti-viral coating. High-touch surfaces across the hotel too such as door handles and elevator buttons will be covered with anti-microbial copper protection film. Front Office use UVC sterilisation boxes to disinfect key cards, stationery and other high-touch objects. All incoming luggage and boxes are also disinfected.
