Home UAE Abu Dhabi Update: Abu Dhabi airport resumes flights, Emirates warns of delays due to bad weather The UAE has been hit by severe rain and thunderstorms by Aarti Nagraj March 9, 2016 Update: Abu Dhabi International Airport announced that it has resumed flights after suspending operations because of bad weather conditions. “Passengers are advised to contact their respective airlines for an update on their flight schedule prior to heading to the airport, it said. Earlier, Abu Dhabi Airports had said that it was suspending flights for “the safety of our passengers and in line with civil aviation regulations.” Meanwhile Dubai airline Emirates has also warned passengers of potential delays in flight timings. “Emirates flights may be delayed due to weather conditions in Dubai. The amounts of clouds will increase over scattered areas accompanied with towering clouds and thunder,” it said in its daily bulletin.
