The Valiant Clinic will be operated by United States-based Houston Methodist Global Health Care Services, Meraas said in a statement. Developed and owned by Meraas, the outpatient clinic will offer diagnostic and wellness services with a focus on preventive care. Spread across 15,000 square metres, Valiant Clinic will also have an electronic health record and allow integration across platforms such as wearable technology and mobile applications. The clinic is scheduled to open this year. Senior vice president of Healthcare at Meraas Hamad Al Matrooshi said: “Valiant Clinic is the first project to become operational within the Meraas healthcare division… We are committed to supporting the Dubai Medical Tourism Strategy that aims to attract 500,000 medical tourists to the emirate by 2020. “We strongly believe that Meraas through the introduction of Valiant Clinic will significantly raise the bar on the delivery of healthcare services in the United Arab Emirates and the wider region and contribute to Dubai’s vision of becoming a leading medical tourism destination.” Once operational, the clinic will offer specialty services across cardiology, endocrinology, internal medicine, pulmonology and women’s health. It will also have fully fitted-out private VIP lounges, radiology and laboratory services and a physical therapy suite. Valiant Clinic will also provide concierge medicine services and the option to consult a personal wellness counsellor.
