The celebrations will feature more than 45 fireworks shows across 36 key locations throughout the city, including some of Dubai’s most iconic tourist destinations, hotels, and commercial areas, reported the state news agency, WAM. The city is renowned for its elaborate New Year’s celebrations, and this year’s events are set to surpass previous ones in scale and coordination. Safety a key priority during fireworks displays SIRA stressed that safety remains a top priority and outlined key guidelines for the public to follow before, during, and after the fireworks displays. These include adhering to safety procedures, refraining from entering restricted areas, and maintaining a safe distance from fireworks launch sites to ensure the well-being of all attendees. In addition to its role in overseeing the fireworks shows, SIRA will work closely with police, civil defence, and other emergency services to maintain public safety throughout the celebrations. These efforts will include crowd control, traffic management, and ensuring that all safety protocols are strictly followed. Dubai’s New Year’s Eve fireworks display has long been a key highlight of the city’s calendar, drawing large crowds both locally and from around the world. With the added emphasis on safety this year, authorities aim to ensure that the celebrations proceed smoothly, providing a fitting send-off to 2024 and a grand welcome to the new year.
