SEVEN Unveils SAR 1.3 Billion Destination in Jazan (1)

Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN), a subsidiary of Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) under the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has announced the development of a new entertainment destination in the Jazan region, with an investment of SAR1.3bn.

The project, which will span 60,000 square metres of land and include 73,000 square metres of built-up space, is set to become one of the kingdom’s leading leisure and tourism hubs.

Awarding the development contract to Alfanar Projects, SEVEN aims to expand its portfolio of world-class entertainment destinations across Saudi Arabia.

“We are excited to unveil SEVEN’s new entertainment destination in Jazan, reflecting our ongoing commitment to enriching the kingdom’s entertainment offering and enhancing the quality of life for communities across Saudi Arabia,” said Abdullah Nasser AlDawood, chairman of SEVEN. “This project celebrates the natural diversity and rich cultural heritage of the Jazan region, while also providing exceptional leisure experiences for residents and visitors alike.”

The entertainment complex will be strategically located near the North Corniche Park along the Jazan waterfront, offering convenient access to both residents and tourists.

As part of the kingdom’s broader strategy to diversify its economy and attract international tourism, SEVEN’s new initiative is expected to serve as a major cultural and recreational landmark for the region.

The design of the project, led by global architecture firm Gensler, draws inspiration from Jazan’s unique natural beauty, incorporating elements of the Red Sea coastline, the region’s mountain ranges, and the fragrant jasmine flowers for which the area is known.

Amer Alajmi, EVP of Alfanar Projects, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating: “We are honoured to partner with SEVEN on this landmark project. Our shared commitment to excellence and innovation ensures the creation of a destination that will exceed expectations and set new standards for entertainment in Saudi Arabia.”

The new complex will feature a diverse range of attractions catering to all ages and interests. These include:

  • An indoor golf course for both beginners and experienced players.
  • A thrill-ride district offering world-class attractions for families and adventure seekers.
  • A state-of-the-art cinema complex, providing a premium movie-going experience.
  • An electric karting track inspired by Hot Wheels, designed for high-speed racing enthusiasts.
  • A Discovery Adventures indoor adventure centre, providing children with creative and educational hands-on experiences.

Visitors can also enjoy a variety of dining and retail experiences, with both local and international options available.

SEVEN’s investment in Jazan is part of a larger, SAR50bn initiative to develop 21 entertainment destinations in 14 cities across Saudi Arabia, reinforcing the country’s growing position as a global hub for tourism and recreation.
