These latest flight disruptions could impact your travel plans

Tensions among Israel, Iran, and Lebanon have led to widespread flight disruptions, with several airlines diverting routes or cancelling services to the region.

Many airlines are taking precautionary measures, with flights to Israel, Lebanon, and beyond affected.

Major airlines, including Air France, Emirates, and Pegasus, have made significant changes. Air France has suspended Tel Aviv flights until mid-October, while Emirates halted its Beirut services until later this month. Pegasus Airlines also cancelled flights to Beirut until October 28.

Low-cost carriers are not immune to the disruptions. Ryanair, EasyJet, and Wizz Air have all halted flights to Tel Aviv for varying periods. Meanwhile, Vueling suspended Tel Aviv flights until January 2025, demonstrating the long-term uncertainty.

Other regional carriers, such as Iran Air and Iraqi Airways, have cancelled routes to Beirut until further notice, while Qatar Airways has paused flights to Iraq, Iran, and Lebanon.

Listed below are the latest flight disruptions, according to Reuters.

1. Aegean Airlines

  • Cancelled flights to and from Beirut until Oct. 31
  • Suspended flights to Tel Aviv until Oct. 13

2. Air Algérie

  • Suspended all flights to and from Lebanon until further notice

3. AirBaltic

  • Cancelled flights to Tel Aviv until Oct. 31

4. Air Europa

  • Suspended flights to Tel Aviv until Oct. 14

5. Air France-KLM Group

  • Air France: Suspended Tel Aviv flights until Oct. 15, Beirut until Oct. 26
  • KLM: No flights to Tel Aviv until at least the end of 2024
  • Transavia: Cancelled Tel Aviv flights until March 31, 2025; Amman and Beirut suspended until Nov. 3

6. Air India

  • Suspended Tel Aviv flights until further notice

7. Bulgaria Air

  • Cancelled flights to Israel until Oct. 31

8. Cathay Pacific

  • Cancelled all Tel Aviv flights until March 27, 2025

9. Delta Air Lines

  • Suspended flights between New York and Tel Aviv until Dec. 31

10. easyJet

  • No flights to Tel Aviv since April; expected to resume March 30, 2025

11. Emirates

  • Cancelled Beirut flights until Oct. 15
  • Resumed flights to Amman on Oct. 6, Iraq and Iran on Oct. 8

12. flydubai

  • Suspended Beirut flights until Oct. 31

13. IAG (British Airways and Iberia Express)

  • British Airways: Suspended Tel Aviv flights until Oct. 26
  • Iberia Express: Cancelled Tel Aviv flights until Oct. 31
  • Vueling: No flights to Tel Aviv until Jan. 12, 2025; Amman flights suspended indefinitely

14. Iran Air

  • Suspended all Beirut flights until further notice

15. Iraqi Airways

  • Cancelled flights to Beirut until further notice

16. ITA Airways

  • Suspended Tel Aviv flights until Oct. 31

17. LOT Polish Airlines

  • Cancelled flights to Tel Aviv until Oct. 26
  • First Beirut flight planned for April 1, 2025

18. Lufthansa Group

  • Cancelled Tel Aviv flights until Oct. 31
  • Flights to Tehran suspended until Oct. 26, Beirut until Nov. 30
  • Not using Iranian and Iraqi airspace, except a corridor to Erbil, Iraq

19. Pegasus Airlines

  • Cancelled Beirut flights until Oct. 28

20. Qatar Airways

  • Temporarily suspended flights to Iraq, Iran, and Lebanon

21. Ryanair

  • Cancelled Tel Aviv flights until Oct. 26

22. Sundair

  • Cancelled Berlin-Beirut and Bremen-Beirut flights until Oct. 31

23. United Airlines

  • Suspended Tel Aviv flights for the foreseeable future

24. Virgin Atlantic

  • Extended Tel Aviv flight suspension until the end of March 2025

25. Wizz Air

  • Suspended flights to Israel through Oct. 8
