The facility, the largest of its kind in the Middle East, will boost advanced manufacturing and meet the surging demand for artificial quartz. The state-of-the-art facility, spanning over 40,000 square metres, commenced commercial production in February. Equipped with advanced machinery, it produces high-quality engineered quartz surfaces that replicate the aesthetics of natural stones. Global Surfaces’ unit to support regional and international demand With an annual production capacity of over 620,000 square metres, Global Surfaces is well-positioned to cater to the growing demand for premium surfaces in the Gulf region and international markets. The facility’s inauguration was attended by Abdulla Bin Damithan, CEO and MD of DP World GCC, and Mayank Shah, MD of Global Surfaces. Bin Damithan praised the facility for its contribution to the UAE’s manufacturing base and its potential to supply the construction sector with locally produced high-quality surfaces. Shah emphasised the facility’s strategic location and its role in enhancing the company’s logistics capabilities and market reach. Global Surfaces also unveiled its new product series, “QUARTZITES”, featuring premium, nature-inspired engineered surfaces. The company is committed to sustainability and has implemented eco-friendly practices, including renewable energy usage, recycled materials, and a water treatment system that reuses 80 per cent of water.
