All the winners at the Gulf Business Awards 2024

The Gulf Business Awards 2024, hosted on 24 September, celebrated and recognised the outstanding achievements of businesses and individuals in the Gulf region.

Hosted at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), the prestigious event brought together the best and brightest from a range of industries.

The ceremony — which is in its twelfth year — honoured those who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and success in their respective fields. 

More than 350 business leaders and top executives gathered to celebrate the Gulf Business Awards, where distinguished individuals, industry titans and companies were honoured for their innovative achievements, significant growth, and positive influence on both local and international markets.

The event was also an extra celebration, as Motivate Media Group marked 45 monumental years.

The awards are not only an opportunity for businesses to showcase their hard work, dedication, and innovation, but also to gain well-deserved recognition from industry peers. 

Mishal Kanoo, Chairman of The Kanoo Group, was honoured with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, celebrating his long-standing contributions to the regional business landscape.

Born and raised in Dubai, Kanoo has earned a reputation as one of the most iconic and influential business leaders in the Middle East. The Kanoo Group is one of the largest and most respected family-owned conglomerates in the Gulf region.

The night saw numerous accolades handed out, spanning various sectors including banking, real estate, healthcare, and technology.

Ian Fairservice, managing director and group editor-in-chief of Motivate Media Group, congratulated the regional business community and industry captains on their success and the role they are playing in driving growth.

Award winners were chosen by a judging panel of respected industry luminaries, including Gareth van Zyl, group Editor of Gulf Business; Helen Barrett, deputy chair – British Business Group Dubai and Northern Emirates and partner – CBD Corporate Services; Ian Fairservice, managing partner and group editor-in-chief of Motivate Media Group; Robin Joffe, partner-managing director, Frost & Sullivan Middle East, Africa, and South Asia (MEASA) operations and Mahmoud Bartawi – serial entrepreneur and founder.

Rounding off the evening, Alshaya Group was named Gulf Business Company of the Year.

Mark Kirby, Head of Hospitality at Emaar Hospitality Group, took home the title of Gulf Business Business Leader of the Year.
