Dubai Metro: Onpassive, Equiti, Mashreq stations to resume services on May 19

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is recommencing metro services at Onpassive, Equiti, and Mashreq stations, effective May 19.

The Energy station is set to return to service next week, following the completion of all necessary maintenance and testing activities to ensure operational readiness and compliance with stringent safety standards.

In preparation for the resumption of service, RTA conducted a comprehensive series of operational tests to verify the efficiency of stations and their facilities.

Checks to ensure smooth metro services

These tests encompassed various aspects, including platform doors, lifts, escalators, and other service amenities.

Additionally, vital assessments were carried out on train power systems to ensure smooth movement between stations, along with service frequency trials aimed at validating journey times accuracy.

To further enhance passenger convenience and mobility, the authority will continue to provide metro feeder bus services aligned with the metro’s operating hours.

The resumption of services at these key stations marks RTA’s concerted efforts to restore normalcy to the city’s transportation network after heavy rains impacted the city in April.
