Sheikh Hamdan launches ‘Dubai Integrated Housing Center’. Here’s why

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai has launched the ‘Dubai Integrated Housing Center’, which seeks to provide 54 residential services for citizens under one roof.

The centre, which is located at Avenue Mall in Nad Al Sheba, will provide services from four government departments and two private sector partners. It is scheduled to commence operations in February.

“As part of the Dubai Social Agenda 33, launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and centred around the theme of ‘Family: The Foundation of Our Nation,’ we have established the Dubai Integrated Housing Center,” Sheikh Hamdan said during his visit to the Center on Tuesday.

“Designed to offer UAE citizens a streamlined and hassle-free home-building experience, the Center will offer 54 services, bringing together resources from four government entities and two private sector partners, all under one roof.”

The centre will provide comprehensive housing services, encompassing personalised design and budget planning, assistance in selecting interior design, consultation on construction and financial planning and the estimation of project costs.

It addresses the diverse needs of citizens, with a specific focus on housing, construction and land services, including the selection and allocation of residential lands.

The government entities offering services through the centre include the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment, Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Municipality and Dubai Land.

Partners from the private, Emirates Islamic Bank and Sobha Realty, are also contributing to the array of services offered.

Meanwhile, the establishment of the centre compliments the recently launched Dubai Social Agenda 33. The initiative seeks to advance all aspects of life for Emirati families in the emirate including housing, quality of life, identity and values, social cohesion and healthcare.

It fosters sustainable social development and the provision of services that directly benefit individuals and meet their expectations.

With government support worth Dhs208bn – more than double the support allocated for the social agenda of the past decade – the initiative operates under two key pillars: healthcare and community development.

Dubai increased funding for healthcare by 1.8 times from Dhs66m between 2014 and 2023 to Dhs120bn for the next decade until 2033.

The government allocated Dhs88bn to community development, a 3.4 times increase compared to Dhs26bn for the past decade.

The pillar covers a wide range of sectors that aim to improve quality of life and ensure social wellbeing, including education, citizen support as well as arts and culture, citizen housing and sports.

Furthermore, the authorities said Dhs26bn would be used for citizen support, to promote family stability and well-being.
