The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is yet to confirm the full plan for road closures but has revealed the marathon route in its most recent post on social media platform X. Dubai Marathon route The Dubai Marathon is a 42.2 kilometre race that starts at 6 am. The shorter routes for amateurs starts at 8:15 am and runners can either do the 10 kilometre or 4 kilometre run. The 42.2 kilometre marathon will start and finish on the Umm Suqeim Road along the beach. Participants will start near Madinat Jumeirah and turn left towards Al Sufouh, passing through Dubai College Junction, before heading up toward the Palm Island entrance on the other side of the road. The route then goes through Jumeirah Beach Road on the left side before reaching the bridge at Al-Mahmal Road Junction. The racers will cross the Burj Al Arab and turn around once they’ve completed the loop. Check out the #DubaiMarathon 2024 route, which will start on Sunday, January 7, from 6:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
