Home GCC Saudi Arabia Temperatures in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait hit 50C Saudi authorities reported that temperature would continue to rise and remain high in the Eastern Province and parts of the central region by Marisha Singh August 1, 2023 Saudi Arabia’s National Centre of Meteorology has forecast high temperatures of between 46C and 50C across the kingdom until the weekend.Temperatures in the Saudi city of Dammam reached 50C on Monday and 49C was reported at Al Ahsa, according to the NCM. The NCM’s forecasts for August indicate that temperatures will be higher than normal. The NCM predicts that temperatures will reach 50C in the Eastern Province this week. It has also forecast thunderstorms for parts of Jazan and Asir Heights as well as foggy conditions for the coastal areas of Makkah, Madinah, and Tabuk regions. The eastern and southern parts of the Riyadh region will also feel temperatures between 46C and 48C, according to the NCM. Saudi officials reported that temperatures soared to 48C during Hajj. Kuwait hits 50C Meanwhile, Kuwait too has seen temperatures hit 50C this week, reported Al Jazeera. Kuwait City has over the past decade seen temperatures cross the 50C mark during summer months.
