Starting Wednesday, June 28 to Friday, June 30, residents and visitors will find plenty of options to celebrate across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra. DCT Abu Dhabi will also kickstart the season’s festivities, ‘One Summer Isn’t Enough’ at a range of indoor theme parks, cultural sites, and shopping malls. Retail bonanza From shopping to live shows, Abu Dhabi has an exciting line-up of activities during the Eid Al-Adha holidays. Malls have extended their evening timings and will remain open until 02:00 am throughout the week. More than 25 malls across Abu Dhabi are also participating in the summer shopping programme. Shoppers will have a range of deals and discounts to choose from as part of the 2023 Abu Dhabi Summer Shopping Season which began on June 23 and will go on until September 10. The retail experience has been organised by Abu Dhabi Retail. More than 3,500 retailers across 25 malls throughout the emirate, including renowned destinations like Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi Mall, Al Wahda Mall, and Reem Mall are offering a range of discounts. The retailers are offering 24-hour super sales, special discounts during Eid Al Adha (June 29 – July 2), and back-to-school offers (August 7 – September 10). As part of the summer experience, DCT Abu Dhabi has roped in brands and experts to offer master classes. From transformative beauty tutorials to innovative styling workshops, these curated events will take place across the summer weeks. Abu Dhabi Summer Pass The Abu Dhabi Summer Pass gives visitors access to attractions and perks at participating hotels, entertainment, dining, shopping, and retail outlets. Live performances Rabeh Sager is scheduled to perform live at the Etihad Arena on June 30. Dining offers Yas Island’s The Warner Brothers World has a sidekick lunch offer for Eid Al Adha. Restaurants like Amana, Punjab Grill, Roka, and Pincode have launched special menus to celebrate Eid. Staycation offers The ‘Stay More, Pay Less’ summer offer, has over 50 participating city, beach and desert hotels and resorts, such as the St. Regis Abu Dhabi, Centro Yas Island, Anantara Eastern Mangroves and Tilal Liwa Resort. The initiative offers visitors one free extra night when booking between May 1 to September 30. Waterfront fireworks on June 28 Abu Dhabi Corniche, Yas Bay Waterfront, Al Hudayriyat Island will feature live music and 10-minute long fireworks display on the evening of June 28. Shuttle bus service The emirate has launched a complimentary Experience Abu Dhabi Shuttle Bus which connects various hotels and attractions during Eid and the summer months. The recently expanded service is wheelchair accessible, offers complimentary Wi-Fi onboard, and serves eight routes with 39 stops including the Abu Dhabi International Airport. What’s happening in Al Ain? Al Ain is Abu Dhabi’s oldest permanently inhabited settlement and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visitors can immerse themselves in the country’s culture by visiting ancient oases, historical forts, archaeological parks, local camel markets, and souks. Live performances Iconic singer Assala Nasri will perform at Al Ain Convention Centre on June 29. Stadium fireworks The night sky will light up over Hazza bin Zayed Stadium with a firework display on June 28 at 9pm to mark Eid Al Adha. What to expect in the Al Dhafra region? Located in the western region of Abu Dhabi, Al Dhafrah gives visitors a taste of the traditional desert-meets-the-sea lifestyle with its dramatic sand dunes, stunning shorelines and fascinating history that still resonates through a wide range of ancient forts, ruins and nature. A trio of fireworks displays: Madinat Zayed Public Park, Al Mugheirah Beach, Ghiyathi will light up at night with a fireworks display to mark Eid Al Adha.
