Home Transport Aviation Dubai’s Emirates to ramp up flight frequencies to more than 15 destinations The carrier continues to scale up its A380 operations with the reintroduction of the aircraft across its network by Zainab Mansoor March 14, 2023 Dubai-based Emirates has boosted operations by 31 per cent (total available seat kilometres) since the start of its financial year. In the past months, the airline has planned as well as executed growth of its network operations – reintroducing services to five cities, launching flights to Tel Aviv, as well as adding 251 weekly flights onto existing routes. Our financial year started relatively quietly as we held back our ramp up until the planned northern runway rehabilitation programme at Dubai International airport was completed in June,” said Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ chief commercial officer. The destinations include: Glasgow (from March 26), Casablanca from (April 15), Beijing (from May 1), Shanghai (from June 4), Nice (from June 1), Birmingham (from July 1), Kuala Lumpur (from August 1), and Taipei (from August 1). Route enhancements Additionally, the airline plans to beef flight frequencies to several destinations across continents. Across Europe, the carrier will ramp up services to Amsterdam, Athens, Bologna, Budapest, London and Venice. Across the African continent, Emirates will increase flights to Cairo, Dar es Salaam, and Entebbe. Emirates’ non-stop Australia flights will return to pre-pandemic levels to Sydney from May 1, Melbourne from March 26, and Brisbane on June 1. Meanwhile, across the East Asian areas, the airline will hike flight frequencies to Bangkok, Beijing, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Tokyo.
