Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launches flight to Amman

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi’s inaugural flight to Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, Jordan departed from UAE’s capital city on March 12.

The new direct flights will connect Abu Dhabi International Airport to Queen Alia International Airport with a frequency of three flights a week.

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi now serves a total of 34 destinations directly from Abu Dhabi International Airport across the sub-continent, GCC, Russia, Africa, and Europe.

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi serves a total of 34 destinations directly from Abu Dhabi International Airport across the sub-continent, GCC, Russia, Africa, and Europe.

Flight details for Amman service

The flight will depart Abu Dhabi at 1:20pm and arrive in Amman at 3:55pm on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. It will depart Amman at 4:45pm and arrive in Abu Dhabi 8:25pm.

Customers can book their direct flights between the two cities by visiting Air Arabia’s website, or by calling the call centre or through travel agencies.

Other services launched

In other news, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi will commence direct flights to Baku in Azerbaijan later this year.

The service will connect Abu Dhabi International Airport to Heydar Aliyev International Airport, with a frequency of three flights per week, starting September 13, 2023.

The carrier plans to introduce several new routes this year. It will launch direct flights to Baghdad and Erbil in Iraq, starting June this year.

The direct flights will connect Abu Dhabi International Airport to both Baghdad International Airport and Erbil International Airport, with a frequency of two flights per week.

Every Monday and Thursday, flight 3L 076 will depart Abu Dhabi at 10.35am and land in Baghdad at 12pm, local time. The return flight 3L 077 will take off from Baghdad at 12.40pm and land at the UAE capital at 4pm, on the same days.

Flight 3L 088 will take off from Abu Dhabi at 11.25pm and land at Erbil at 1.20am on Tuesday and Fridays. The return 3L 089 flight will take off from Erbil at 2am and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 5.40am on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

In February, the airline also announced it was starting its service to Kolkata city in India on March 15.

The new flights between Abu Dhabi International Airport and Kolkata Airport will operate three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

Flight 3L 169 will depart Abu Dhabi at 2.25pm local time and arrive at Kolkata at 8.20pm. The return flight 3L 169 will take off from the Indian city at 9.05pm and land at the UAE capital at 1.05am.

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi has expanded its route network to 28 destinations directly from Abu Dhabi International Airport, while the new service to Kolkata marks the carrier’s seventh Indian destination, after Cochin, Calicut, Trivandrum, Chennai, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad.
