UAE weather update: Strong winds expected, temperatures may dip to 14°C

Fresh, potentially strong, winds may hit the country, reaching 45km/hour, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has said.

The NCM has issued an alert regarding blowing gusts as well as rough sea conditions with waves touching 8ft in Oman Sea.

Temperatures across the UAE may also drop to lows of 14°C amid internal areas, with highs of 26°C.

Mercury may dip further to 11°C in the mountains with highs of 19°C. Temperatures could hover between 16-24°C across coastal areas and islands, NCM reported, in its daily weather bulletin.

The country’s lowest temperature, equalling 3.9°C, was recorded at 12.15am at Jais Mountain today.

Fair to partly cloudy and dusty conditions may persistent at times during daytime, NCM added.

However, temperatures may begin to soar, beginning tomorrow, with a significant rise expected on Sunday.
