Mall of Oman is home to Snow Oman – the largest snow park in the region, Oman’s largest VOX Cinemas — complete with 15 screens, 260 international and local retail outlets, and more than 45 dining options, with plans to introduce 15 more dining experiences this year. The Mall of Oman is considered the biggest mall globally to have achieved LEED Platinum under the ‘New Building Core and Shell’ segment for its success in saving 28.59 per cent of energy and 49 per cent of water, and introducing low-emission-vehicle parking spaces. These activities have generated an estimated 42,000 direct and indirect job opportunities over the last seven years. New partnership In other news, Majid Al Futtaim has announced a strategic partnership with Poltrona Frau, the century-old luxury Italian furniture brand. As part of the agreement, the company has acquired the rights to Poltrona Frau products in the UAE. Founded in 1912 in Turin, Italy, the company is known for its 21-step tanning process to create enduring leather items. The Italian brand currently has 15 flagship stores, 165 single-brand stores and around 280 multi-brand stores across five continents. The company saw a 20 per cent growth in revenue in 2022, compared to 2021, due to a strong increase within the brand’s residential unit and a strong recovery of public projects.
