Wizz Air Abu Dhabi to launch new route to Ankara

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has launched its latest route to Turkey’s capital Ankara.

The flight to Ankara will commence on January 19, 2023 and will be operated by the fifth aircraft that recently joined the carrier’s fleet. Flights to Ankara will operate on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, tickets of which are on sale on the carrier’s website and app, with fares starting as low as Dhs149.

The airline now flies to more than 36 destinations within a five-hour flight time radius of Abu Dhabi, since launching in January 2021.

Michael Berlouis, managing director of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, said: “The new route will be operated by our fifth Airbus A321neo aircraft which has been added to our fleet. Wizz Air Abu Dhabi provides low fare travel options to Alexandria (Egypt), Almaty (Kazakhstan), Amman (Jordan), Ankara (Turkey), Aqaba (Jordan), Athens (Greece), Baku (Azerbaijan), Belgrade (Serbia), Dammam (Saudi Arabia), Kuwait City (Kuwait), Kutaisi (Georgia), Manama (Bahrain), Male (Maldives), Muscat (Oman), Nur Sultan (Kazakhstan), Salalah (Oman), Santorini (Greece), Sarajevo (Bosnia), Sohag (Egypt), Tel-Aviv (Israel), Tirana (Albania) and Yerevan (Armenia) among others.

Wizz Air Holdings also aims to establish a fleet of 50 aircraft at a new unit in Saudi Arabia by the end of the decade.
