The new infections were detected, after 230,589 tests were conducted across the country to screen for the virus. The health ministry also announced 659 recoveries in the past 24 hours, raising the recovery count to 986,761. No death was reported in the last 24 hours, keeping the death toll unchanged at 2,341.
