Abu Dhabi Police has been working in coordination with Civil Defense authorities to put out the fire. The building has also been evacuated to ensure the safety of tenants. A Tweet from Abu Dhabi Police has stated that 19 people were injured due to the incident. They sustained mild to moderate injuries and were transferred to the hospital for treatment. #AbuDhabiPolice and Civil Defence teams continue to deal with a fire in a 30-storey building in the Al Zahia area. They also confirmed that the fire has been completely extinguished and cooling operations are underway at the site. Abu Dhabi Police also urged the public not to spread false or unverified information about the incident and to seek information from official sources only. “The Emirates Red Crescent, in coordination with Abu Dhabi Police and Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, has provided temporary accommodation for the tenants until the building is declared safe to return to,” the police said on Twitter. #AbuDhabiPolice and Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, with their rapid response capabilities, have successfully extinguished a fire in a building in Al Zahiyah area in Abu Dhabi.
