Starting December 30, vaccinated individuals require a green pass on their Alhosn app, and a negative PCR test result is required for unvaccinated individuals. The result of that negative test should not be older than 96 hours. Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee has updated the procedure to enter the emirate from within the UAE by requiring green pass for vaccinated individuals and a negative PCR test result for those who are not vaccinated. pic.twitter.com/FAxRbWFRJY — مكتب أبوظبي الإعلامي (@admediaoffice) December 28, 2021 The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee which issued the updated protocols on Tuesday added these new requirements would be in addition to the EDE scanners which have been deployed at the entry points to the emirate. All those commuting into Abu Dhabi from other parts of the country will need to undertake the EDE scan, regardless of whether they have the green pass. Potential positive Covid-19 cases will be referred to an on-site testing centre, where they will be given a free antigen test, with results delivered within 20 minutes. If they test positive for Covid-19, Abu Dhabi residents will have to isolate for 10 days as per the emirate’s guidelines. They will also be fitted with a tracking wristband. For those from other emirates, they will need to return back and notify the local health authority of their test result.
