UAE announces National Day holidays for public, private sectors

The UAE has announced a three-day holiday for public and private sectors to mark Commemoration Day and the country’s 50th National Day.

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources has said that federal ministries and entities will remain closed from December 1 until December 3.

Meanwhile, all private sector employees across the country will also be allocated a three-day break, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has said.

Work will resume on Sunday, December 5, making a four-day break in total.

The UAE recently announced protocols for Commemoration Day and National Day celebrations. Proof of a negative PCR test result conducted within 96 hours of an event and a temperature check is necessary.
