Home UAE Dubai EXCLUSIVE: Oberoi Dubai Targets March Opening The 250-room hotel is the luxury Indian chain’s first UAE property. by Dominic Ellis March 5, 2013 The Oberoi Dubai, the luxury Indian chain’s first UAE property, is targeting a March soft opening. Business Traveller Middle East was recently given an exclusive tour of the 27-floor hotel, which towers over Business Bay and offers striking views of Burj Khalifa. The 250-room hotel features a white marble-covered lobby that has stairs leading down to the ballroom while the reception is located to the right, and complemented by a gold-plated ceiling feature in the adjacent lobby lounge. Deluxe rooms start from 52sqm – all rooms contain walk-in showers and tubs – while the suites range from 133sqm and feature large balconies. F&B outlets include the lobby lounge by reception; a north Indian restaurant, with six tandoor ovens, which you access via an enormous wooden door to the left of the lobby; a contemporary Asian restaurant with seaweed encased in glass on the wall; an all-day-dining World Cuisine venue; and rooftop bar. The 26th floor is dedicated to business, with plenty of meeting rooms and a large boardroom. Complimentary wifi is available throughout. The hotel’s exterior is covered in a grill-like structure, which will be lit at night – but it obstructs some of the views. Leisure facilities include a spa, gym, outdoor pool and yoga deck. 0 Comments
