The UAE reported 122 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 738,812.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced that the cases were detected after it conducted 327,338 additional Covid-19 tests over the past 24 hours.
According to the ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care.
MoHAP also announced two deaths due to Covid-19 complications, bringing the overall death toll in the country to 2,122.
An additional 157 individuals also fully recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 732,595.
In a statement, the ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.
It also announced that 41,035 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine were given in the past 24 hours.
The total number of doses provided up to Tuesday stands at 20,766,132 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 209.96 doses per 100 people.
This is in line with the ministry’s efforts to reach acquired immunity resulting from the vaccination, which will help reduce the number of cases and control the coronavirus.
