Home Lifestyle Horology Top Swiss brands including Rolex and Audemars Piguet to participate in Dubai Watch Week Over 45 brands will participate in the fifth edition which will be held at Dubai International Financial Centre from November 24-28 by Varun Godinho September 21, 2021 Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, the organisers of the Dubai Watch Week (DWW), have confirmed that over 45 watch brands – the highest number of participating exhibitors to date – will participate in upcoming edition of the event next month. Held under the patronage of Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), the fifth edition will be held at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) from November 24-28, 2021. This year’s event will see the participation of major Swiss watchmakers including Rolex, Audemars Piguet, Tudor, Hublot and Chopard, all of whom will have standalone and interactive spaces on site. Other participating brands include Akrivia, Armin Strom, Beauregard, Bell & Ross, Bovet 1822, Breitling, Bvlgari, Christophe Claret, Chronoswiss, Corum, Czapek, De Bethune, F.P. Journe, Ferdinand Berthoud, Frederique Constant, Genus Watches, Girard-Perregaux, GoS, Greubel Forsey, H. Moser & Cie, Jacob & Co, Konstantin Chaykin, Laurent Ferrier, Louis Erard, Louis Moinet, Ludovic Ballouard, MB&F, MeisterSinger, Mont Blanc, Montres KF, Moritz Grossmann, Norqain, Oris, Purnell, Rebellion Timepieces, Reservoir-watch, Ressence, Schwarz Etienne, Singer Reimagined, Tag Heuer, Trilobe, Ulysse Nardin and Urwerk. Read: Dubai Watch Week confirms dates for in-person event in November Pre-owned luxury timepiece retailer WatchBox, which partnered with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons to open a Watchbox boutique in the DIFC two year ago will also return with its own space at the event. At this year’s edition DWW will also launch a Collector’s Lounge which will gather watch lovers from across the globe. A dedicated space for watch connoisseurs to discuss the latest watch releases the Collector’s Lounge will also showcase the unique limited editions conceptualised by Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons to commemorate the UAE’s 50th anniversary. The lounge will also feature pieces from Buben & Zorweg and Miki Eleta. Event highlights include the Horology Forum with a series of panel discussions exploring themes and topics from “Alignment of online personas with actual identities” to “NFTs and cryptocurrencies in luxury”; masterclasses with hands-on workshops led by expert artisans; as well as the Creative Hub. Whilst certain programmes require pre-booking on the website, entry to the event is free for all attendees. The event’s partners include Dubai Culture, Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), auction house Christie’s and DIFC. “Our ongoing partnerships intersect multiple industries. The biennial event attracted over 9,000 visitors in its 2019 edition and this year’s event will be held parallel to the Expo 2020 Dubai which will span from October to March.
