Covid-19: UAE announces 1,522 new cases, six deaths

The UAE reported 1,522 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 653,284.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) said that the new cases were detected after it conducted 263,784 additional Covid-19 tests over the past 24 hours.

According to the ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care.

MoHAP also announced six deaths due to Covid-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 1,876.

An additional 1,485 individuals also fully recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 631,294.

In a statement, the ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.

It also called on the public to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distancing to ensure the health and safety of all.
