UAE raises petrol prices for May 2021

The diesel price for next month has been reduced

Petrol prices in the UAE have increased for May 2021, the UAE Fuel Price Follow-up Committee announced on Thursday.

This is the third consecutive month that petrol prices have been raised.

However, diesel price for the next month has been reduced.

Fuel prices per litre for the next month are as follows:

Special (95): Dhs2.18 (up from Dhs2.17 in April)
Super (98): Dhs2.30 (up from Dhs2.29 in April)
E-Plus (91): Dhs2.11 (up from Dhs2.10 in April)
Diesel: Dhs2.17 (down from Dhs2.22 in April)

Oil edged higher after closing at a six-week high as signs of strengthening demand in key markets offset concerns a Covid-19 resurgence in some countries, especially India, will damp consumption in the near term.
