Cybertech Global exhibition to be held in Dubai for the first time

The 8th edition Cybertech Global, an international exhibition and conference for the cyber industry, will be held in Dubai from April 5 to 7.

The three-day event, moved from TelAviv to Dubai, will take place at Festival Arena, Dubai Festival City.

Leading figures in the global cybersecurity industry will present. Among them, Gen. (ret.), David H. Petraeus former director of the CIA, Mohamed Hamad Hareb Al-Kuwaiti, head of Cybersecurity, UAE Government, Yigal Unna, director general, Israel National Cyber Directorate, and Marwan Alzarouni, director of Information Services Department, Dubai Electronic Security Center.

The event will also include lectures, plenary sessions in addition to industry exhibitions along with a startup pavilion. DP World, the Israel National Cyber Directorate, FAA, EuroControl, Emirati Airlines, Israel Shipyards, and others will participate.

Due to the global pandemic, the past year was marked by monumental changes with an increase in the use of technology. A large part of Cybertech will thus be dedicated to cybersecurity challenges, strategies and repercussions in a wide range of sectors and disciplines such as fintech, retail, insurance, aviation, economics, and politics.

Experts predict that 2021 will be another year of significant transition and rising threats, with attacks not only growing in frequency but becoming increasingly organisation-wide and highly impactful.

“Cybersecurity will continue to play an integral role in managing the current global crisis,” said Amir Rapaport, founder and editor-in-chief of Cybertech. “From 5G networks, work from home, to augmented analytics to digital ethics, cyber is omnipresent. While for many years, cybersecurity awareness was not encouraged, organisations of all sizes now understand that they have no choice but to secure their business.
