New Dhs600m floating hotel, houses project coming soon to Dubai Marina

A unique Dhs600m real estate project is rising at the Marina-a floating resort with six conjoined glass boathouses.

The Sea Palace floating resort and moveable villas have been developed by shipbuilding company Seagate Shipyard.

One of the floating houses, named Neptune, is finished and was sold on Monday to Dubai businessman Balvinder Sahni for Dhs20m.

The glass boathouses will be able to move from one place to another. They are powered by shaft motors equipped with a hydraulic system that developers say can resist waves.

The houses are compatible with relevant international safety standards, the developers say. They are powered by solar energy and supplied with a garbage recycling system, while In-built facilities treat sewage and handle air purification.

Neptune consists of two floors, a balcony, and a roof with an outdoor swimming pool. Each floor is 300 sqm, which makes it 900 sqm in total. The first floor consists of four ensuite bedrooms. Downstairs, the ground floor features a kitchen, a living room, two additional rooms for domestic staff and a balcony. Luxury brand Aston Martin designed the furniture, the company says.
